The Makeup Artist Workshop

Hair Kit Checklist

·        Blow dryer with nozzle

·        Curling irons 3 sizes, 3/4”, 1” and 1&1/4” or 1&1/2 or at least a large and small / medium if not all 4 sizes

·        Flat iron small or medium size

·        Hair Brushes metal or boar bristle your choice

·        Hair Brush sizes: 1 ¼”, 1 ½”, 1 ¾” and 2” at least a large and small / medium size if not all 4 sizes

·        Tease brush

·        Vent brush

·        Combs with 3 or 4 metal piks on the end

·        Sectioning clips

·        Metal clips for setting hair

·        Spray bottle

·        Nylon cape

·        Bobbi pins black and brown and blonde in small and large sizes

 I will provide styling products as well as additional hair accessories. If you have your favorite products feel free to add them to your kit.

You can purchase these items at Sally’s beauty Supply or any drug store. If you have a license you can also purchase a Maly’s and Cosmprof stores.

• thermal styling, using different sizes of irons for different  curl effects as well as straightening
• Up do hair styles
• Bring a model to class if you cannot find a model you can use a doll head to practice (available at Sally's beauty supply)

Note: Doll head hair is human hair and easy to work with if you want to challenge yourself bring a model that have thick curly hair and and one that has less or fine hair. When working with real people they all have different textures and can be challenging.
